Video Showing Chicago Police Use Stun Gun On Woman Could Be Released This Week

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A video showing Chicago Police using a stun gun on a woman could be released soon.

The incident happened a few years ago and she survived. The woman pleaded guilty to armed robbery.

A South Side pastor says he, along with other pastors, were contacted by police about the soon to be released tape.

"We haven't had a woman on one of these tapes yet, so no one really knows exactly how the various factions and communities will react to something like that," said Rev. Gregory Livingston of the Coalition for a New Chicago.

Police want the community to learn about the video from them, not the media first.

Sources say the video is expected to be released by Sunday.
