VIDEO: Cars Slide Off Indiana Road To Avoid Parked Comcast Truck

(CBS) -- Video of cars sliding off an Indianapolis street on Tuesday to avoid a Comcast truck that had blocked part of the road has gone viral.

The YouTube video was shot by a man who lives on a street where a Comcast technician parked his truck, blocking the right lane while he worked on a cable box and a utility pole at the side of the road.

The worker had placed orange cones behind the truck, but the man who recorded the video complained that drivers couldn't see the cones until it was too late to stop. Car after car slid into a ditch as they tried to avoid the truck, which was parked at the bottom of a hill.

At one point in the video, a pickup truck rear-ends another car, runs over a mailbox, and slides into the front yard of the home, after the car in front slowed as it approached the Comcast truck.

Even after multiple accidents, and witnesses pleading with him to put down more cones, the Comcast technician kept working, saying "I've got work to do," and denying he was to blame for the crashes.

Comcast said it's looking into the incident.
