Kris Versteeg's Return Expected On Wednesday

By Chris Emma-

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Set for eight consecutive games at United Center, the Blackhawks will get another big boost. Winger Kris Versteeg is expected to return on Wednesday against Vancouver, coach Joel Quenneville said Monday evening.

Versteeg has been out since New Year's Day when he fractured his left hand in Chicago's Winter Classic game at Washington. He had a successful procedure in January to repair the damage and has missed 16 games while recovering.

Prior to the injury, Versteeg had nine goals and 18 assists, meshing well on the Blackhawks' second line with Brad Richards and Patrick Kane. It remains to be seen where Quenneville will place Versteeg upon return.

The Blackhawks host the Arizona Coyotes on Monday at 7:30 p.m., with Antti Raanta set to be in net for Chicago.
