Firefighters Rescue Man From Burning Apartment Building In Uptown

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A man was rescued from a fire that broke out at a senior high rise apartment building in Uptown.

Chicago firefighters rescued the 65-year-old man from a burning couch on the 3rd floor of the building, located at 920 W. Lawrence Ave.

The man is in critical condition Monday morning.

A Chicago police officer was checked out for an injury on the scene, but was not taken to a hospital.
