Unseasonably Warm Weather An Opportunity To Visit Cook County Forest Preserves

(CBS) -- This weekend's unseasonably warm weather has created an opportunity to bond with nature in the Cook County's forest preserves, reports WBBM's Keith Johnson.

Lambrini Lukidis, communications director for the Cook County Forest Preserve, says there are plenty of activities this weekend in the northern, western and southern preserves. In South Holland, Lukidis says Sand Ridge Nature Center is, "taking families on hikes to learn about different trees in the area."
In Barrington Hills at Crabtree Nature Center, an artist will be showing people how to create winter landscapes.
