University Of Illinois Adds Another Party School Honor
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Further burnishing its party, party image, the University of Illinois once again ranks among the top 10 higher education institutions in the country for having a swell time.
The latest honor comes from Playboy, which rates the Champaign campus No. 5, citing its "platter of partying."
In March, Playboy says, "all hell breaks loose for Unofficial Saint Patrick's Day, when thousands of students skip class to start drinking at dawn—and the streets are dyed green with vomit."
Setting that bit of hyperbole aside, U of I also ranked No. 1 in the latest Princeton Review list of top party schools.
Three other Big Ten schools made Playboy's Top Ten list:
The University Of Iowa, where the Union Bar's Halloween bash "is enough to make a Playboy editor blush."
The University Of Wisconsin, where "beer, cheese and frigid climes equal a good time."
The University Of Michigan, where "house parties abound in Ann Arbor."
