Two Teens Hurt In Austin Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two teens were shot Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North Central Avenue, police said.

Two males -- ages 17 and 19 -- were shot while walking on the sidewalk, one in the leg and another in the buttocks, police said.

Both were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in "stable" condition, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
