One Teen Dead, One Wounded In West Side Shooting
(CBS) -- One teen has died and a second is in critical condition, from multiple gunshot wounds suffered in an attack in Riis Park, on the city's Far Northwest Side.
Police said a man approached them on foot about 5:45 p.m., fired in their direction, and then escaped on foot.
Both teens were transported to Loyola University Medical Center, in Maywood, where one of the teens died about two hours later.
Area North police detectives are seeking the gunman.
