Two Suspects In Custody After Shooting At Chicago Cops In Englewood

(STMW) -- Two people are custody after they allegedly fired gunshots at Chicago Police officers, who then fired back Saturday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Shots were fired at the officers at 10:11 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 71st Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada. The officers returned fire, but no one was hit and no injuries were reported.

Two males were taken into custody after the shooting, and police recovered two firearms from the scene, Estrada said.
