The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said the accident happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Little Star Lake in Vilas County, about 25 miles from the border with the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

A 12-year-old girl and her 11-year-old brother were riding an inflatable tube behind a boat when they struck the side of a pontoon boat.
