Two Shot In South Chicago

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were shot Wednesday night in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

An 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were standing on a sidewalk near 85th Street and Exchange Avenue when a light-colored vehicle stopped by them, and someone inside fired shots.

The man was shot in his leg and was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where his condition was stablized, police said. The woman's condition was also stabilized at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after being shot in the hip, police said.
