Two Shot In Greater Grand Crossing

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were shot Wednesday evening in the South Side Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.

A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were outside in the 7200 block of South Dobson Avenue about 7:45 p.m. when a light-colored vehicle stopped and someone inside fired at them, police said.

The shooter may have been in a gray Chevrolet Malibu, according to police.

The teen was shot in the buttocks and taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was stable, police said.

The 20-year-old was shot in the leg and groin and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stable, police said.

A police source said the man and the teen are both documented gang members.
