Two Men Shot In West Pullman

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were injured -- one critically -- in a shooting early Friday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Both men, 25 and 29, were at the corner of 116th Place and Peoria Street when they were shot about 1:30 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said, citing preliminary information.

The 25-year-old was shot in the mouth and leg, and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Greer said. The 29-year-old suffered a graze wound to the shoulder and refused medical attention at the scene.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
