Two men were critically injured in a Rogers Park neighborhood shooting early Wednesday on the North Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot at 4:10 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Touhy Avenue found the men shot in an alley, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

One man, age 23, was shot in the chest, and the other, 30, suffered gunshot wounds to the shoulder, arm, back and buttocks, Alfaro said.

Both were taken in critical condition to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
