Two Men Charged In Lincoln Park Robbery Attempt

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two Far South Side men charged in connection with an attempted robbery in the Lincoln Park neighborhood were each held on $50,000 bond.

Raheem McCaskill, 21, and Ledonte Washington, 20, were each charged with one count of attempted robbery while armed with other dangerous weapon, according to police.

McCaskill and Washington tried to rob a male Tuesday evening in the 2300 block of North Orchard Street, police said.

About 6:50 p.m., the two men drove up to they victim and pointed a replica rifle at him while demanding his shoes, police said. The victim ran off, called police and gave a detailed description.

McCaskill, of the 300 block of East 130th Street, and Washington, of the 12600 block of South Michigan Avenue, were both ordered held on $50,000 bond, according to the Cook County sheriff's office. Both are scheduled to appear in court again Sept. 15.
