Two Lincoln Park Businesses Hit By Burglars

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two businesses in Lincoln Park were burglarized and ransacked within a half hour of each other overnight.

CBS 2's Susanna Song reports, police say the Nothing Bundt Cakes store, 1953 N. Clybourn was hit around 1:30 a.m.

Owner Erika Young says several cameras inside her business captured the suspects. Nothing was taken.

When police responded to the alarm, they found damage to the back door and damage to the inside of the business.

About 25 minutes later, officers responded to a burglary at Mo's Asian Bistro, 1353 W. Fullerton.

They found the back door pried open, and the burglars had ransacked the business and took money from the register.

Police say they are investigating whether the two burglaries are connected to the same suspect.
