Two Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On Stevenson Near I-355

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on the Stevenson Expressway near Bolingbrook early Saturday.

Illinois State Police said a 2004 Dodge Stratus driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55 crashed head-on into 1998 Acura coupe just south of the Veterans Memorial Tollway (Interstate 355) interchange around 3 a.m.

Both drivers were killed in the crash. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Authorities identified the driver of the Stratus as 25-year-old Ariel Dorado, of Plainfield; and the driver of the Acura as 20-year-old Daniel Zamora, of Justice.

The northbound lanes of the Stevenson were shut down for about four hours after the crash as police investigated the crash.
