Two Killed In Uptown Shooting

Two men were shot to death in the Uptown neighborhood early Wednesday on the North Side, according to Chicago Police.

The attack happened at 2:17 a.m. in the 5000 block of North Winthrop Avenue, police said.

A 32-year-old man was dead at the scene, and a 34-year-old died after being taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately confirm the deaths.

Both men, who had documented gang ties, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
