Two Killed In Lake In The Hills Crash

(STMW) -- Two people were killed in a crash early Saturday in northwest suburban Lake in the Hills.

A vehicle was heading northbound on Pyott Road near Oak Street in Lake in the Hills just after midnight when it left the roadway, became airborne and landed on its roof, according to a statement from the McHenry County coroner's office.

The driver and passenger were both dead at the scene, the coroner's office said. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of their families.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning, according to the coroner's office. The crash remains under investigation by Lake in the Hills police.
