CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were injured during the 46th Annual Chicago Pride Parade when a 60-year-old man drove his car into the parade route Sunday afternoon in the Lakeview neighborhood on the North Side.

About 2:50 p.m., the man's vehicle crashed into the parade route in the 3700 block of North Halsted STreet, police said.

A man and woman were struck and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. As of early Monday, they both had been treated and released.

The 60-year-old was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital for evaluation and was eventually released without charges, police said.
