Two Injured In Head-On Crash Involving USPS Truck

(STMW) -- Two people were injured in a head-on crash involving a U.S. Postal Service truck and another vehicle near southwest suburban Plainfield, according to Illinois State Police.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. on Route 126 and the Will/Kendall County Line Road, just west of Plainfield, according to a statement from ISP. One of the vehicles was a USPS truck, which collided with a Volkswagen, according to ISP.

The driver of the truck was airlifted to a hospital, while the other driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital, police said. Their conditions were not known.

Route 126 was closed between Drauden Road and Ridge Road but has now reopened, ISP said.
