Two Hurt, Four In Custody After Car Hits Pedestrians

UPDATE: 3:35 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two people were seriously injured when they were struck by a car Monday morning in the Dunning neighborhood on the North Side.

Police said two male pedestrians were standing on the sidewalk in the 3200 block of North Ozark Avenue around 4:15 a.m., when they were hit.

One victim was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition. The other was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition.

The car that struck them fled the scene, but was located about a mile away, and four people, two men and two women.

Police say the driver of the car intentionally hit the two victims following an altercation and charges are pending.
