Two Found Dead With Gunshot Wounds In Northwest Indiana
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man and woman were found dead with gunshot wounds Tuesday morning in northwest Indiana.
A death investigation team was called at 7:58 a.m. to the 1600 block of Northview Court in Lowell, according to the Lake County coroner's office. The man and woman, both 61 years old, were pronounced dead about 8:40 a.m. The woman had multiple gunshot wounds, while the man was shot once.
Their identities were not released pending notification of family, according to the coroner's office. A ruling on their manners of death was pending further investigation.
Lowell Police Chief Erik Matson said the deaths remain under investigation, but there is no public safety concern. He declined to release further details.
