Two Charged In Armed Robbery Of Pizza Delivery Driver

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police say footprints in the snow led them to a robbery suspect hiding in a back yard this weekend.

It was about 8 o'clock on Friday evening when a pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint near 84th and Colfax.

Police say two robbers took cash from the delivery man.Officers say the robbers didn't get too far.

Police responding to the scene picked up one in an alley near where the robbery happened.

The other? He got a few blocks away, police say - and officers found him by following his footprints through the snow to the place where he was hiding: in a back yard in the 8300 block of South Manistee.

Jefferey Fields, 26, and Bernard Williams, 27, were both charged with one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm.

Police say they recovered the gun and the cash from the robbery.
