Two Bodies Found In Northwest Indiana

(CBS) –Two fishermen discovered a pair of decaying bodies Friday afternoon in a wooded area in Hobart, Ind., police said.

Lake County authorities were alerted to the discovery around 4:30 p.m. on a property in the 7000 block of Grand Boulevard. The owner called 9-1-1 to say two fishermen using the grounds found corpses in a wooded area, Hobart police said in a news release.

The two "decomposing" bodies were transported to the Lake County, Ind. Coroner's Office to be examined. Their identities had not been established.

Merillville and Hobart police are working with the Major Crimes Task Force.
