Two Arrested After Shooting, Crash In Logan Square

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people are in custody following an incident involving gunfire and a crash early Tuesday morning in the Northwest Side Logan Square neighborhood.

About 1:55 a.m., police saw suspects in one vehicle open fire toward another vehicle near Kimball and Fullerton avenues. The vehicle drove away at a "high speed" and hit several parked cars nearby, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

A male and female were taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center with minor injuries and are in police custody. A weapon was recovered from the incident, Greer said.

No charges were filed as of Tuesday morning, Greer said.

No other injuries were reported.

Area North detectives are investigating.
