Trio Steals Designer Handbags From Gold Coast Store
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Thieves stole about $50,000 worth of designer handbags from a Gold Coast boutique on Wednesday.
Police said two men and a woman entered Barneys New York on Oak Street around 10 a.m., grabbed 15 to 17 bags, and ran off.
"Offenders then entered an awaiting gray car that was outside, and the car was last seen fleeing southbound on Lake Shore Drive," Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
No injuries were reported. No one was in custody Wednesday afternoon.
