Trestman: Brandon Marshall's Been Released From Hospital

(CBS) Bears receiver Brandon Marshall was released Sunday night from the hospital, where he'd been since suffering two broken ribs and what was reported to be a collapsed lung in last Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

"Brandon was released last night from the hospital," Bears coach Marc Trestman said in an interview with WBBM Newsradio on Monday morning. "He'll be home today, and we'll see where he's at as he gets back into the building."

The Bears have only ruled Marshall out for next Monday's contest against the Saints, but all indications are he's done for the season. His injury appeared rather serious, as on Saturday, Marshall tweeted a photo of a tube that he said was taken out of his chest.

Marshall was injured in the second quarter last Thursday when he was hit in the back by Dallas defensive back Barry Church. He walked off the field under his own power but then was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Marshall has caught 61 passes for 721 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games.
