Trestman: Bears Still 'A Long Way Off'

(CBS) A 21-13 win against the Bucs on Sunday left Bears coach Marc Trestman with a mix of emotions.

He was relieved. He was happy, yet left wanting much more.

"It was an extremely poor start offensively, but our defense held up," Trestman said in an interview with WBBM Newsradio on Monday morning. "We were very fortunate to only be down 10-0 at half. Our team stuck together. We had some young people play very well on defense.

"Guys never gave up. They played hard."

Trestman cautioned the Bears are still "a long way off" from where they want to be, but at 5-6, there's a sliver of hope heading into Thursday's Thanksgiving contest against the Lions in Detroit.
