Tow Truck Driver Slain In Park Manor Shooting
A tow truck driver was shot and killed Thursday morning in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood, according to police.
The 32-year-old victim was driving a flatbed tow truck northbound in the 6800 block of South Anthony Avenue about 9 a.m. when someone opened fire at him, according to Chicago Police.
He was shot multiple times in the chest and arms, but continued driving northbound until he crashed the truck into a viaduct at 68th and King, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
