Toddler, Adult Shot In Back Of The Yards
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 3-year-old child and an adult, believed to be her father, were wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. Police said the shooting happened at about 3 p.m. near 48th and Damen.
Officers believe the suspected gunman walked up and opened fire, before getting into a black sedan.
A 3-year-old child was shot once in each leg, and was being taken to Comer Children's Hospital for treatment.
An adult male was shot in the foot and took himself to the University of Chicago trauma center.

CBS 2's Charlie De Mar is on the scene. He reports 11 bullets were found on the ground near the incident, marked by Chicago Police tape. Officers say the man shot in the incident is the child's father, a 34-year-old documented gang member.
Police believe the man was the intended target.
Police say both victims are in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
