Tim Tebow Is Pursuing A Professional Baseball Career

(CBS) Former NFL quarterback and college football Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is pursuing a professional baseball career, ESPN.com reported Tuesday morning.

The 28-year-old Tebow plans to hold a workout for MLB teams later this month, his agents told ESPN.com. Tebow hasn't played baseball on a regular basis since 2005 but has been training lately.

Tebow hasn't played in an NFL game since 2012 and is currently serving as an ESPN broadcaster. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and was a part of two national title-winning teams in his career at Florida.

Tebow was an all-state baseball player in Florida as a high school junior, according to ESPN.com.
