Tim Anderson, Carson Fulmer Highlight White Sox's Non-Roster Invitees To Spring Training

(CBS) Two of the White Sox's top prospects headline the list of 20 non-roster invitees to their spring training, which opens Feb. 19 when pitchers and catchers report in Glendale, Ariz.

Shortstop Tim Anderson and right-hander Carson Fulmer will be joining Chicago and have a chance to prove themselves when the new season gets underway. The White Sox's top-rated prospects, Anderson was the team's first-round pick in 2013. Fulmer was Chicago's first-round selection in 2015 and is the organization's No. 2 prospect.

Here are the other non-roster invitees who earned minor league contracts with the White Sox: right-hander Phillippe Aumont, right-hander Colin Kleven, right-hander Matt Lollis, right-hander Josh Wall, left-hander Matt Purke, left-hander Nik Turley, catcher Hector Sanchez, infielder Steve Lombardozzi and infieder Andy Parrino.

In addition to Anderson and Fulmer, nine other players within the system were invited to big league camp in spring training: right-hander Tyler Danish, right-hander Peter Tago, left-hander Jordan Guerrero, left-hander Will Lamb, catcher Omar Narvaez, outfielder Jason Coats, outfielder Adam Engel, outfielder Courtney Hawkins and outfielder Jacob May.
