Six Wounded In Chicago Shootings Thursday

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Six people were wounded in shootings Thursday across Chicago.

The most recent shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

A 19-year-old man was standing in an alley in the 3000 block of South Keeler when he heard shots and realized he'd been hit in the foot, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

About 90 minutes earlier, a 46-year-old man was shot in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side. He was driving at 7:53 p.m. in the 8400 block of South St. Lawrence when he heard shots and realized he'd been struck in the shoulder, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.

A 24-year-old man was shot earlier that evening in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. He suffered a graze wound to the buttocks about 5:45 p.m. in the 4600 block of West Belmont, police said. He was treated at the scene and declined additional medical attention.

Another man was shot a couple minutes earlier in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side. The 20-year-old was standing outside at 5:43 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Homan when a vehicle pulled up and someone got out and fired shots before getting back in the vehicle and driving away, police said. The man was shot in the arm and leg and taken to Saint Anthony Hospital in good condition.

A woman was shot during a home invasion Thursday afternoon in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 4 p.m., three males forcibly entered a basement apartment in the 5900 block of South Kenneth, police said. During the incident, a 26-year-old woman was shot in the chest and taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Thursday's first shooting happened at 1:23 a.m. in the South Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

The 26-year-old woman was riding in a vehicle in the 3000 block of West 60th Street when someone in another vehicle shot her, police said. She suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized.
