(STMW) -- Three men were seriously hurt when an SUV crashed into a tree early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The GMC Suburban was speeding southbound in the 7900 block of South Yates about 4 a.m. when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree and a parked vehicle, according to Chicago Police.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Two passengers, both 27-year-old men, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. One of the men was in serious condition and the other's condition was stabilized.
