Three Men Charged In Home Invasion, Shooting On West Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three men were charged with a home invasion and shooting of a 24-year-old man Friday on the West Side.

Michael Raggs, Ambrose Walker and Sidney Gullens were arrested and charged Friday after forcibly entering a first floor apartment in the 400 block of North Hamlin Avenue about 10:20 p.m., according to a statement from police. Once inside, Raggs, 33, of the 3800 block of West Wilcox Avenue, fired a handgun and struck a victim in the forearm.

Walker, 22 of the 4800 block of West Crystal Street; Gullens, 24 of the 4600 block of South La Crosse Avenue; and Raggs were each charged with home invasion with a firearm, home invasion causing injury and aggravated battery involving a discharge of a firearm. Walker and Gullens were also each charged with an issuance of a warrant, police said.

All three are scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.
