Three Found Dead In Abandoned Avondale Home

(CBS) – Three men have been found dead in an abandoned home in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood.

The three were discovered around 11:15 a.m. Monday in a home in the 3300 block of North Harding Avenue, Chicago police said.

The incident is currently classified as a death investigation. Police say it could be related to the cold weather and that the men appear to be homeless.

Autopsies were expected to be conducted Tuesday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Neighbors say the house on a tidy Avondale block had been abandoned at least half a year, maybe more. Some say they saw potential squatters at the site.

"It puts everybody in danger because we don't know what's going on," neighbor Jenny Delgado tells CBS 2's Derrick Blakley.
