Three Charged In Gary Store Robbery

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three teens were charged with the armed robbery of a store manager and his son in Gary earlier this month.

Allan Blackmon and Kahlil Diggs, both 17, and 18-year-old De'Monte' Coleman were charged with roberry resulting in bodily injury, armed robbery, two counts of criminal confinement, felony intimidation, battery by means of a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery, according to Gary police.

The three, all of Gary, robbed a store in the 2300 block of East 15th Avenue on Nov. 7, police said.

During the robbery, the three confined the store manager and his 14-year-old son, police said.

Blackmon, Diggs and Coleman are all charged as adults, according to police.

Diggs is also being charged with armed robbery, criminal confinement, felony intimidation and felony theft in connection with a Nov. 4 incident in the 2600 block of East 21st Avenue in Gary, police said.
