Three Charged After Man Is Lured To Aurora Apartment, Beaten And Robbed

(STMW) -- Three people have been charged and another is being sought in connection with a man who was beaten and robbed in west suburban Aurora on Thanksgiving Day after meeting a woman online.

Around 1 a.m., the 28-year-old Summit man was lured to the Aurora home of Adriana J. Chavez, 25, after she promised him sexual favors. After the man was let inside, three men appeared from a side bedroom. They beat, robbed and threw him down three flights of stairs and then out of the building, a statement from Aurora police said.

The man said he and Chavez began texting after they met online a few days earlier, the statement said.

About 6 p.m. on Nov. 27, an Aurora police officer reviewed the surveillance video at the apartment from which he was able to identify three of the suspects. Chavez, Miles C. Perry, 23, of Aurora and 21-year-old Alejandro Alvarez of Melrose Park, were then found in the building and arrested, the statement said. They all face various robbery and theft charges.

Police are looking for the third man thought to have taken part in the assault and robbery, the statement said.

Chavez, Perry and Alvarez are being held in lieu of bond at the Kane County Correctional Center in St. Charles.
