Three Arrested During Ferguson Protest In The Loop

(STMW) -- Three people were arrested in the Loop Wednesday afternoon while protesting the decision of a Missouri grand jury to not charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the August shooting death of Michael Brown.

Two 63-year-old women and a 57-year-old man were arrested near Jackson and State, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

The circumstances leading up to their arrests and possible charges they may face were not known Wednesday night.

A Missouri grand jury's decision Monday not to charge Wilson, the officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Brown in August, has encited protests and riots across the country. Monday night, protesters marched through the Loop for hours after the decision was announced, and Tuesday a youth group held a "die-in" outside Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.
