The Kris Bryant Meme Fun Reaches A New Level
(CBS) As is the biggest tradition in the social-media fueled sports world of present, when big news breaks, so too come out Internet memes. Sometimes hilarious, edgy and/or confusing, memes mark the occasion in their unique way.
Such has been the case since news broke Thursday night that the Cubs were calling up star prospect Kris Bryant to make his major league debut Friday afternoon against the Padres. He'll play third base and bat cleanup.
There are great expectations for him, and in case you didn't realize, the Internet reminded us today's a big day.
