CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teen boy was shot in the East Side neighborhood Wednesday night.

The boy, 15, was walking in the 10400 block of South Avenue L about 8:10 p.m. when someone inside a passing black-colored vehicle fired at him, police said.

He transported himself to Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Hammond, Ind., where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound to the wrist, police said.
