(CBS) -- The teenage daughter of a veteran United Airlines Flight Attendant whose body was discovered in the trunk of her car in Gary now stands charged with her murder, reports WBBm's Kimberly Easton.

Gary Police say Alyssa Barrett, 17, is now charged with the murder and robbery of her mother.

Barrett and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Damarius Rashard Wren, are accused in the brutal murder of DeCarol Deloney-Cain.

According to the criminal complaint, Deloney-Cain was beaten and repeatedly stabbed and then her hands and feet were tied with duct tape. Her body was wrapped in trash bags and stuffed in the trunk of her own car.

Investigators say the two plotted to kill Deloney-Cain because she wanted her daughter to have an abortion.

Barrett and her boyfriend, who is also charged with robbery and murder, are being detained without bond.
