Teddy Bridgewater: I Didn't Want The Browns To Draft Me

(CBS) On Monday, there was speculation that the Browns were set on drafting Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater at No. 22 until owner Jimmy Haslam interceded and demanded the franchise draft Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel instead. With the Browns issuing strong denials in the aftermath of that report, it's unclear what really happened.

What's more clear is that it was a good thing Cleveland didn't draft Bridgewater. Because Teddy didn't want to play for the Browns.

In an interview with the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning, Bridgewater said, "I actually told my agent that that wasn't the place I wanted to be."

Bridgewater was drafted by the Vikings at No. 32 when Minnesota traded back into the first round to get him.
