Taxi vs. Bike Messenger: Who Wins Race From Loop To Wrigley?

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Bike messenger Nico Deportago-Cabrera is a fast dude.

However, even fueled by a few Red Bulls, could he beat a taxi cab in a race from the Willis Tower to Wrigley Field?

As the bike flies, the route was shorter by about 1.5 miles. To avoid stop-and-go traffic downtown, the taxi took a longer route via Lake Shore Drive.

Deportago-Cabrera, being a bike messenger, wasn't too concerned about rules of the road.

Using bike- and helmet-mounted cameras, Deportago-Cabrera's white-knuckle ride is admittedly fun to watch.

I won't tell you who won.

It was close.
