Takeover Bank Robbery On North Side, FBI Investigating

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A bank was robbed Friday morning on the North Side.

The FBI was called about a robbery at a Chase Bank branch at 1757 W. Fullerton about 9:21 a.m., according to bureau spokesman Garrett Croon.

The incident was described as a takeover robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-3, the FBI said. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black ski mask, blue jeans and a black sweatshirt.

The man was said to have entered the bank with a gun and accessed the vault. He fled in a black van with $80,000 in cash.
