Take A Break From The Fireworks, Visit The 'Invisible Arcade'

In town for one night only, Invisible Arcade is something Chicago video game enthusiasts can't miss, even among 4th of July festivities.

"Like a live concert, but with video games," Invisible Arcade events tend to pay respect to a few handpicked games. Performers play the games on a projector for the crowd, sometimes conducting interviews during the demonstration. The games are also available to play for those who attend.

Tonight's games include Cannon Brawl, Relativity, and a personal favorite of mine, the run and gun platformer Gunstar Heroes.

Performances of the games will be led by Samantha Kalman, Kate Welch and BizSNES. The event takes place at Cards Against Humanity Theater (1917 N. Elston Ave, Chicago, IL, 60642), going from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The event is free and its BYOB.
