Synagogue, Garages Vandalized With Anti-Semitic Graffiti

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police responded to several buildings, garages that were spray painted with racial slurs, profanity Sunday in the West Ridge neighborhood on the North Side.

About 6:40 a.m., officers responded to a synagogue in the 2900 block of West Touhy Avenue regarding anti-semitic messages that were spray painted on the side of the building, police said. They were later notified of similar incidents in the 2800 block of West Estes and the 5700 – 5800 block of North Talman.

As of Monday morning, police labeled the incidents as criminal damage to property.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
