Person In Custody After SWAT Incident At South Chicago Home

(STMW) -- A person was taken into custody after barricading himself inside a South Chicago neighborhood home for more than 4 hours Tuesday night.

Chicago Police SWAT officers responded when the male barricaded himself inside the house at 7:03 p.m. in the 8400 block of South Luella, police said.

Police said he may have had a gun, but did not provide additional details.

The male, whose age was not known, was taken into custody about 11:35 p.m., police said. No injuries were reported.
