Suspect Threatens Woman Jogger At Forest Preserve, Steals Phone

(CBS) – A woman jogger tells police she was robbed of her cell phone by a suspect armed with a screwdriver Friday morning at Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve.

Lake County Forest Preserve Ranger Police are investigating the armed robbery, which reportedly occurred at 8:15 a.m. in the northwestern suburb of Long Grove.

The female victim said the suspect grabbed her arm, threatened her with a screwdriver and fled with her cell phone toward Checker Road.
